LocalUncle is a Q&A service that let’s you tap into real-time knowledge and advice from locals all around the world. We already built a kick-ass team, raised some seed money and incorporated the company. Our headquarter is right next to the beautiful lake of Zurich. • iOS and/or Android developer
• Marketing, Community Management and Social Media Intern (part or full-time)

Mobile Developer iOS and/or Android (full-time)

Responsibilites

• All things related to our mobile efforts
• Execute on our ambitious product roadmap
• Bring in your own great ideas and show ownership over the modules you build and maintain

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent (alternatively we also accept diplomas from the school of hard knocks, but only if you really, really rock!)
• Substantial experience developing mobile applications. Be it for iOS, Android, BB or mobile browsers
• The number of years of professional experience you have isn’t important to us. You just have to kick mobile ass
• You should be ready to ride the high highs and the low lows of startup life with us and keep it cool. We’re in it to win it, and so should you!

Marketing, Community Management and Social Media Intern (part or full-time)

Responsibilites

• Reach out to press and increase coverage
• Tweet, Facebook, YouTube, blog, dailybooth, instagram, pinterest, WUPHF etc. the bejesus out of the interwebs
• Monitor, moderate, reach out to and engage with our LocalUncle community (e.g. organize after work beers for our top users)
• Work closely with our CEO and the Director of Marketing to grow our user-base into the hundreds of millions

Requirements

• B.A. or higher in Marketing, Business, Economics, Communication, English Literature or equivalent. Actually, your background doesn’t really matter. You can be an astrophysicist, architect, lawyer or burnt out Wall Street banker looking for a career change. If we see the fire in your eyes and are ready to learn, you’re more than welcome with us!
• Super, super duper creative but also quantitative and analytical
• Exceptional writing skills
• Experience is a plus but not required. Like already mentioned, you can be “new” to social media and web startups but have to be excited about this field, willing and able to learn super fast
• Proactive, driven, friendly, intriguing and a little bit crazy
• You should be ready to ride the high highs and the low lows of startup life with us and keep it cool. We’re in it to win it, and so should you!
